CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 19, 2018) – Charlotte-based Hendrick Automotive Group has partnered with owner Susan Stevenson in Stevenson Honda Wilmington and Stevenson Toyota Jacksonville. The two franchises, which will be operated by Hendrick Automotive Group, have re-opened as Stevenson-Hendrick Honda Wilmington (821 S. College Road) and Stevenson-Hendrick Toyota Jacksonville (3124 New Bern Highway). Stevenson will consult on operations at both dealerships.

Including Jeff Gordon Chevrolet and Hendrick Toyota Wilmington, Hendrick Automotive Group now operates three franchises in Wilmington, while Stevenson-Hendrick Toyota Jacksonville is the company’s first dealership location in Jacksonville. Hendrick Automotive Group now operates four Honda franchises in North Carolina and 15 nationally. In addition, the company operates four Toyota franchises in North Carolina and eight nationally.

Stevenson’s late husband, Johnny Stevenson, was owner of the two dealerships until October 2017.

Sitting on 11.3 total acres, Stevenson-Hendrick Honda Wilmington currently offers 40,000 square feet of facility space that retails nearly 400 new and 260 pre-owned vehicles. The 73,000-square-foot Stevenson-Hendrick Toyota Jacksonville facility sits on 17 acres, provides 31 service bays and offers 300 new and 75 pre-owned vehicles. Both locations also have access to more than 30,000 new and pre-owned vehicles from HendrickCars.com.

Dan Dehass, executive general manager for Hendrick Automotive Group’s Mall of Georgia Mazda and Mall of Georgia MINI, has also been named executive general manager for Stevenson-Hendrick Honda Wilmington, reporting to market area vice president Ryan Regnier. George Papajohn will continue as general manager of Stevenson-Hendrick Toyota Jacksonville, reporting to market area vice president John Futrell.
