Hendrick Automotive Group Provides Support for Inaugural Modeling For Impact

The Friends of the Mark Headen Endowment are pleased to announce their inaugural fashion show fundraising event, Modeling for Impact, which will be held on Jan. 27, 2017 in Charlotte, North Carolina at Extravaganza. This unique event will honor and celebrate the life of the late Mark Headen by raising funds to support two things he deeply cared about: young people and the outdoors. A native Charlottean, Mark Headen was an avid outdoorsman. His expeditions as a young man through North Carolina Outward Bound School helped foster his love for nature and inspired him to become a community servant. 100% of all ticket sales will benefit the Mark Headen Endowment. Proceeds from the Endowment support NC Outward Bound’s Intercept Program, which is designed to help teens transition their lives in more meaningful and positive directions.
Famed news anchor Maureen O’Boyle will act as the event’s MC. Mark’s oldest son, Franklin Headen, has enlisted a roster of world-class models including Carmella Rose, Anna Wolf, and Hannah Kirkelie and to donate their time to travel to Charlotte for the fashion show. Franklin’s production team is made up of current Savannah College of Art & Design students and alumni from the Photography, TV/Film, and Fashion Marketing departments. The models will be rocking the runway wearing the latest styles from iconic contemporary swimwear brands Minimale Animale, Beach Bunny, Beach Riot, and 6 Shore Road, as well as newly-established brand, Bongani. Charlotte native and award winning makeup artist and hair stylist Katy Albright will be leading the beauty team to create a signature look for the models to don on the catwalk. A second runway show will feature a dozen special guests in the season’s most desired men’s clothing from Charlotte-based store, The Sporting Gent. Guests will enjoy music by DJ Joe Bunn throughout the night, as well as catering by Jim ‘N Nick’s and a custom dessert from Cakes by Tersey. Hendrick Automotive Group is the official transportation sponsor for the event and will be providing the models with first-class service throughout their stay.
