|HENDRICK AUTOMOTIVE GROUP OPENS MAZDA DEALERSHIP IN BUFORD|
BUFORD, Ga., Feb. 1, 2013 – Hendrick Automotive Group has opened a Mazda dealership today in Buford, Ga. Formerly Ivory Mazda, the new Mall of Georgia Mazda, located at 3546 Highway 20, is now under Hendrick Automotive Group management.
“We always look for new opportunities to offer our customers, and partnering with Mazda does exactly that,” said Tom Blocker, Executive Vice President of Hendrick Automotive Group. “Mazda continues to develop a strong line of vehicles, and the brand’s new and innovative approach to reaching customers, from the showroom design to marketing efforts, is fresh and exciting.”
Mazda is the 29th nameplate offered by the Charlotte, N.C., dealership group. Mall of Georgia Mazda will join Gwinnett Place Honda, Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Duluth, and Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Buford as Hendrick Automotive Group’s fourth store in the state of Georgia.
Market Area Vice President Ryan Regnier, who has been with Hendrick Automotive Group in various roles since 1996, will oversee the Mazda store. Regnier is also the Executive General Manager of Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Duluth and Rick Hendrick Chevrolet of Buford.
“We are thrilled to expand our presence in the Buford market with the addition of Mall of Georgia Mazda,” said Regnier. “The newly redesigned Mazda 6 sedan and CX-5 crossover are just two examples of the innovative products Mazda continues to bring to the market. We are looking forward to showing customers all that Mazda has to offer.”
Dan Dehass will serve as general manager of Mall of Georgia Mazda. Dehass joined Hendrick Automotive Group in 2003 as inventory manager at Jeff Gordon Chevrolet in Wilmington, N.C. In 2008, he moved to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Duluth as inventory manager. Most recently he worked as the general sales manager at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Buford.
Mall of Georgia Mazda will feature 500 new and pre-owned cars on site, plus access to the entire Hendrickcars.com inventory of more than 5,000 pre-owned vehicles. The 16,550-square-foot dealership has 12 service bays on its six-acre lot.
Mall of Georgia Mazda is an exclusive Mazda Retail Revolution facility, which features a salesman-free cyber café area and a high-tech design. A Retail Revolution “drive center” allows for 20-30 minute test drives on a course developed by the dealership itself. The Retail Revolution was developed to create an environment for customers that is uniquely Mazda and puts a different spin on the sales and service experience.
The dealership also offers courtesy vehicles, free Wi-Fi, a children’s play area and shuttle service to the Mall of Georgia and its surrounding areas.
Mall of Georgia Mazda is open Monday through Saturday and will employ more than 40 people. For information on employment opportunities, please visit HendrickCareers.com.
